To pair two units, press the test/silence button on the first unit 4 times until the LED flashes to enter pairing mode. Then, press the test button on the second unit twice quickly. They will beep and exit pairing mode once connected.
A single chirp accompanied by a yellow LED flash every 60 seconds typically indicates a low battery (if replaceable) or that the unit has reached its end-of-life activation. Replace the battery or the entire unit immediately.
You should test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms once a week by pressing the Test/Silence button. Ensure you can hear the alarm from all sleeping areas.
If a known non-emergency source (like cooking fumes) triggers the alarm, press the Test/Silence button to silence the unit for approximately 9 minutes. The red LED will flash every 5 seconds while in silence mode.
