- Carbon monoxide alarms are not a substitute for smoke alarms. Smoke alarms are not a substitute for carbon monoxide alarms.
- This device requires 120V AC hardwired power and two (2) AA alkaline batteries for backup.

4. Persediaan dan Pemasangan
Proper installation is critical for the effective operation of your alarm. Follow these steps carefully.
4.1 Memilih Lokasi
Install smoke and carbon monoxide alarms on every level of your home, inside each bedroom, and outside each sleeping area. For optimal CO detection, place alarms within 10 feet of sleeping areas. Avoid placing alarms:
- Within 6 feet of heating or cooking appliances.
- In garages, kitchens, furnace rooms, or bathrooms where high humidity or fumes could cause nuisance alarms.
- In areas of extreme temperatures (below 40°F or above 100°F).

4.2 Hardwired Connection

5. Arahan Operasi
Understanding the alarm's signals is essential for quick and appropriate responses.
5.1 Voice Alerts
The 30CUAR-V model provides clear voice alerts to specify the detected hazard:
- If smoke is detected, the alarm will announce: "Fire!"
- If carbon monoxide is detected, the alarm will announce: "Warning. Carbon Monoxide."
- Other voice alerts may include "Replace Alarm" for end-of-life indication or "Low Battery" for battery replacement.

- LED hijau: Indicates normal operation and AC power is present.

5.4 Weekly Push Test
Perform a manual push test once per week to verify the alarm's operation. Press and hold the test/hush button until the alarm sounds. The alarm will cycle through its alert patterns and voice messages. If the alarm does not sound, refer to the troubleshooting section.

If that date is unknown, it should be assumed that alarms should be replaced after 10 years from the manufacture date printed on the unit.
