1.3 Adapter Components

2. Arahan Persediaan

Follow these steps to connect your hard drive or optical drive to the Unitek adapter.

2.1 Connecting a SATA Drive (2.5" or 3.5" HDD/SSD)

1. Ensure the adapter's power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the SATA data and power connector on your 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drive to the corresponding SATA II connector on the adapter.
3. Connect the 12V/2A power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the Unitek adapter, then plug it into a power outlet.
4. Connect the USB 3.0 cable from the adapter's Micro USB 3.0 port to an available USB-A or USB-C port on your computer. If using USB-C, an appropriate adapter or cable (not always included) may be needed.
5. Flip the power switch on the Unitek adapter to the ON position. The LED indicator will light up.
6. Your computer should detect the drive. For new drives, you may need to initialize and format them through Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS).

2.2 Connecting a 3.5" IDE Drive

1. Ensure the adapter's power switch is in the OFF position.

7. Your computer should detect the drive.

2.3 Connecting a 2.5" IDE Drive

1. Ensure the adapter's power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the 44-pin IDE connector on your 2.5" IDE drive to the 44-Pin 2.5" IDE port on the adapter.
3. Connect the 12V/2A power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the Unitek adapter, then plug it into a power outlet.
4. Connect the USB 3.0 cable from the adapter's Micro USB 3.0 port to an available USB-A or USB-C port on your computer.
