1. Maklumat Keselamatan Penting

Please read this manual carefully before installing and operating your Klarstein Monumenta extractor hood. Keep these instructions for future reference.

The hood can operate in two modes:

• Mod Udara Ekzos: Fumes are extracted and discharged outside through a ventilation duct.
• Recirculating Air Mode: Fumes are filtered through activated charcoal filters and the purified air is returned to the kitchen.

3. Persediaan dan Pemasangan

3.1 Membongkar dan Komponen

Carefully unpack the appliance and check for any damage. Ensure all components are present:

• 1 x Cooker Hood Unit
• 1 x Grease Filter (pre-installed or separate)
• 2 x Activated Carbon Filters (for recirculation mode)
• Perkakasan Pemasangan (skru, palam dinding, pendakap)

3.2 Memasang Tudung

The Klarstein Monumenta is a wall-mounted canopy hood. Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the weight of the hood (approx. 12.5 kg / 27.5 lbs). Maintain the recommended distance between the cooking surface and the bottom of the hood as specified in local building codes and the detailed manual.

• Mark drilling points on the wall according to the provided template.

4. Arahan Operasi

The Klarstein Monumenta extractor hood features a user-friendly 5-button control panel located on the front.

4.1 Fungsi Panel Kawalan

The control panel typically includes buttons for:

• HIDUP/MATI Kuasa: To switch the hood on or off.
• Pemilihan Kelajuan Kipas: Three distinct power levels (1, 2, 3) are available to adjust the extraction rate according to your cooking needs.
• Lampu HIDUP/MATI: To control the integrated LED lighting (2 x 1.5 watts) for illuminating your cooking area.

It is recommended to switch on the extractor hood a few minutes before you start cooking and leave it running for a few minutes after you finish to ensure all fumes and odors are effectively removed.

5. Penyelenggaraan

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your extractor hood. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Membersihkan Penapis Grease

The aluminum grease filter should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to prevent grease buildup and maintain extraction efficiency. The central front flap can be opened for easy access.

• Remove the grease filter by releasing its latches.
• Wash the filter by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher using a mild detergent.
• Pastikan penapis benar-benar kering sebelum memasang semula.

5.2 Menggantikan Penapis Karbon Teraktif (Mod Edaran Semula)

If your hood is operating in recirculation mode, the activated carbon filters need to be replaced periodically (typically every 3-6 months, depending on usage) as they cannot be washed. Used filters lose their odor-absorbing capacity.

• Remove the grease filter to access the activated carbon filters.
• Twist or unlatch the old carbon filters to remove them.
• Install new activated carbon filters, ensuring they are securely in place.
• Matching replacement activated charcoal filters are available under item number 10030727.

5.3 Membersihkan Bahagian Luar

Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the surface.
