1. Pengenalan

This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the DAEWOO WOS501 Wireless Outdoor Siren. This siren is designed to integrate with DAEWOO SA501 alarm systems and other compatible DAEWOO SAxxx alarm packs, providing an audible and visual alert in case of an alarm event. It features battery backup for continued operation during power outages and requires a mains power supply.

2. Maklumat Keselamatan

Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the product, property, or personal injury.

• Pastikan bekalan kuasa diputuskan sambungannya sebelum melakukan sebarang pemasangan atau penyelenggaraan.
• Installation should be performed by a qualified individual if you are unsure about electrical wiring.
• Do not expose the siren to extreme temperatures or direct water immersion. While designed for outdoor use, excessive exposure can cause damage.
• Jauhkan daripada kanak-kanak.

4. Persediaan dan Pemasangan

4.1 Memilih Lokasi Pemasangan

Select a suitable outdoor location for the siren. Consider the following:

• Keterlihatan: Position the siren where its flashing light and sound can be easily seen and heard.
• Kebolehcapaian: Mount it high enough to deter tampering but accessible for maintenance.
• Kuasa: Ensure proximity to a 230V AC power socket for the included power supply.
• Julat Tanpa Wayar: The siren operates wirelessly up to 80 meters from the main alarm control panel. Test signal strength before final mounting.

4.2 Memasang Siren

1. Mark the desired mounting points on the wall using the siren's base as a template.
2. Drill pilot holes at the marked points. Insert wall plugs if mounting into masonry.
3. Secure the siren's base to the wall using the provided screws.
4. Connect the power supply to the siren and plug it into a 230V AC outdoor-rated power socket.
5. Ensure the battery backup is correctly installed (refer to section 6.1 for battery installation).
6. Attach the siren's cover securely to the base.

4.3 Pairing with the Alarm System

The DAEWOO WOS501 siren must be paired with your DAEWOO SA501 or compatible SAxxx alarm control panel. Refer to your main alarm system's manual for specific pairing instructions. Generally, the process involves:

1. Put your alarm control panel into pairing mode.
2. Activate the siren's pairing function (often a button press or power cycle).
3. Confirm successful pairing on your alarm control panel.

5. Operasi

Once paired with your DAEWOO alarm system, the WOS501 siren operates automatically in conjunction with the alarm panel.

• Mempersenjatai/Melucuti senjata: The siren will arm and disarm simultaneously with your main alarm system.
• Pengaktifan Penggera: Upon detection of an intrusion or other alarm event by the main system, the siren will emit a loud 105 dB sound and flash its integrated light.
• Bateri tambahan: Sekiranya berlaku kuasa outage, the siren will continue to function using its internal Lithium Polymer battery backup.

6. Penyelenggaraan

6.1 Pemasangan dan Penggantian Bateri

The siren requires 1 Lithium Polymer battery for backup power. While the product description states "Batteries Included? No", it also states "1 Lithium Polymer batteries required." and "Battery backup for power outage." This implies a battery is either pre-installed or needs to be purchased separately and installed. Assuming it needs to be installed or replaced:

1. Putuskan Kuasa: Unplug the siren from the mains power supply.
2. Buka Casing: Carefully open the siren's casing. There may be anti-tamper screws or clips.
3. Pasang/Tukar Bateri: Locate the battery compartment. Insert or replace the Lithium Polymer battery, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Tutup Casing: Securely close the siren's casing.
5. Sambung semula Kuasa: Plug the siren back into the mains power supply. The battery will begin charging.

Nota: The siren's battery is primarily for backup. Ensure the siren is always connected to mains power for optimal performance and battery longevity.

6.2 Pembersihan

Wipe the siren's exterior with a soft, damp kain mengikut keperluan. Jangan gunakan pembersih atau pelarut yang kasar.

6.3 Pemeriksaan Berkala

Periodically test the siren's functionality by triggering your alarm system to ensure it activates correctly.
