Please read this manual thoroughly before installing and operating your Kidde Smoke Detector Alarm. Failure to follow these instructions may result in improper operation of the alarm and could lead to property damage, injury, or death.
- This smoke alarm is designed for residential use.
- Do not paint the smoke alarm. Paint can clog the sensing chambers and prevent the alarm from operating correctly.
- Test the smoke alarm weekly to ensure proper function.
- Replace batteries immediately when the low battery warning sounds.

3. Persediaan dan Pemasangan
3.1 Pemasangan Bateri
- Remove the mounting bracket from the back of the alarm by twisting it counter-clockwise.
- Cari petak bateri.
- Insert the 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity. Nota: Some units may ship with the battery intentionally inserted upside down for shipping. Ensure the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings in the compartment.
- Tutup petak bateri.
3.2 Lokasi Pemasangan
For optimal protection, install smoke alarms in every sleeping room and on every level of your home, including the basement. Place alarms in hallways outside of sleeping areas. Avoid installing in kitchens, bathrooms, or garages where steam, cooking fumes, or exhaust can cause false alarms.
3.3 Memasang Penggera
- After installing the battery, attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling or wall using the provided screws. Ensure the bracket is securely fastened.
- Align the alarm unit with the mounting bracket and twist clockwise until it locks into place. The alarm should feel secure.
- Test the alarm immediately after installation (refer to Section 4.1).
4. Operasi
4.1 Menguji Penggera
Test your smoke alarm weekly to ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Press and hold the test button located on the cover of the alarm.
- The alarm will sound a loud, pulsating horn. This indicates the alarm is working.
- Lepaskan butang itu. Penggera akan berhenti.
- Jika penggera tidak berbunyi, rujuk bahagian Penyelesaian Masalah.
4.2 Lampu Penunjuk
The red LED indicator light on the alarm will flash approximately once every 30-40 seconds. This indicates that the alarm is receiving power and functioning correctly.
5. Penyelenggaraan
5.1 Penggantian Bateri
The alarm will chirp approximately once every 30-40 seconds when the battery is low. Replace the 9V battery immediately when this occurs.
- Twist the alarm unit counter-clockwise to remove it from the mounting bracket. The bracket will remain on the ceiling/wall.
- Open the battery compartment and remove the old 9V battery.
- Insert a new 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Tutup petak bateri.
- Re-attach the alarm unit to the mounting bracket by twisting clockwise until it locks.
- Test the alarm after replacing the battery.
5.2 Membersihkan Penggera Anda
Clean your smoke alarm at least once a month. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris from the alarm's cover and ventilation openings. Do not use water, cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the unit.
