The Magene S3+ is a versatile sensor designed to measure either cycling speed or cadence. It utilizes both ANT+ and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless protocols, allowing for broad compatibility with various cycling computers, smartwatches, and smartphone applications. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your S3+ sensor.

3. Persediaan
3.1 Battery Installation and Activation
The Magene S3+ sensor comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. Before first use, you must remove the insulating sheet from the battery compartment. Open the sensor cover by twisting it counter-clockwise, remove the plastic sheet, and then close the cover by twisting clockwise until secure.
3.2 Mode Switching (Speed or Cadence)
The S3+ sensor operates in one mode at a time: either speed or cadence. To switch between modes, you need to reinstall the battery. The sensor's LED indicator will flash to confirm the selected mode:
- Green Indicator Flash: Sensor is in Speed Mode.
- Red Indicator Flash: Sensor is in Cadence Mode.
After switching modes, it is necessary to reconnect the device to your cycling computer or application to display the new mode's data correctly.

Choose the appropriate installation method based on your desired measurement mode:
For Speed Measurement:
- Ensure the sensor is in Speed Mode (Green LED flash).
- Attach the sensor to the hub of your front or rear wheel using the large rubber elastic ring. Ensure it is securely fastened and does not interfere with any moving parts.
For Cadence Measurement:
- Ensure the sensor is in Cadence Mode (Red LED flash).
- Attach the sensor to the inside of your bicycle's crank arm using the small rubber elastic ring. Position it so it does not interfere with pedaling or other components.
4. Arahan Operasi
4.1 Berpasangan dengan Peranti
The Magene S3+ sensor supports both ANT+ and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity.

4.2 Mod Tidur Automatik
To conserve battery life, the S3+ sensor will automatically enter a sleep state after 1 minute of inactivity. The sensor will only begin transmitting data again once it is properly reactivated by movement (e.g., rotating the wheel or crank arm).

5.1 Penggantian Bateri
The sensor uses a CR2032 lithium coin cell battery. When the battery is low, the LED indicator may not flash or may appear dim. To replace the battery:
- Twist the sensor cover counter-clockwise to open the battery compartment.

5.2 Cleaning and Water Resistance
The Magene S3+ sensor has an IP66 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against powerful water jets. It is suitable for use in rainy conditions. - Ensure the battery insulation sheet has been removed and the battery is correctly installed.
- Wake up the sensor by rotating the wheel or crank arm.
- For Bluetooth connections, search for the sensor within the app itself, not through your phone's system Bluetooth settings.
- Check if the sensor is already connected to another device (especially for Bluetooth, which supports only one connection at a time).
- Replace the battery if it is low or depleted.
- Incorrect speed/cadence readings:
- Verify that the sensor is in the correct mode (Speed or Cadence) as indicated by the LED flash during battery reinstallation.
- Ensure the sensor is securely mounted and not shifting during activity.
- For speed mode, ensure your cycling computer or app has the correct wheel circumference set.
- Sensor not waking up from sleep mode:
- Ensure the sensor is subjected to sufficient movement (e.g., several rotations of the wheel or crank arm) to activate it.
