This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your Fantech FLEX100H Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV). The FLEX100H is designed to provide fresh air while recovering heat from exhaust air, improving indoor air quality and energy efficiency. Please read this manual thoroughly before proceeding with installation or operation.
2. Maklumat Keselamatan
Adherence to the following safety guidelines is crucial for preventing injury and ensuring proper unit function.
- All electrical wiring must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local and national electrical codes.

3.1 Membongkar
Carefully remove the FLEX100H unit from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of shipping damage. Report any damage to your supplier immediately. Retain all packaging materials for potential future transport or return.
3.2 Pemasangan
The FLEX100H can be mounted in various orientations. Ensure the mounting location allows for adequate access for maintenance, particularly filter replacement. The unit should be installed in a conditioned space to prevent condensation and optimize performance. Refer to the dimensional drawing for space requirements.
3.3 Sambungan Saluran
Connect the appropriate ductwork to the four ports on top of the unit. Ensure all connections are airtight using suitable clamps dan pengedap. Nota: The FLEX100H utilizes oval duct connections. Verify the availability of compatible oval ducting or appropriate adapters before installation. Reshaping round ducting to fit may be challenging and could compromise performance or sealing.

4. Operasi
The Fantech FLEX100H operates automatically to exchange indoor and outdoor air, recovering heat in the process. The unit typically integrates with a wall control (sold separately or as part of a system) to manage fan speed and operating modes (e.g., continuous, intermittent, high speed). Refer to your wall control's manual for specific operating instructions.
- Operasi Berterusan: Provides constant ventilation at a set speed.
- Operasi sekejap: Cycles the unit on and off based on a timer or sensor input.
- High Speed Boost: Temporarily increases ventilation for rapid air exchange, often activated by a bathroom switch or humidity sensor.
5. Penyelenggaraan
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your HRV unit.
5.1 Pembersihan/Penggantian Penapis
The FLEX100H is equipped with filters that should be cleaned or replaced periodically, typically every 3-6 months, depending on air quality and usage. Dirty filters reduce airflow and efficiency.
- Disconnect power to the unit at the circuit breaker.
- Open the access panel by releasing the latches/hinges (refer to Figure 2).
- Carefully slide out the filters.
- Clean filters with a vacuum cleaner or wash them with warm, soapy water. Ensure filters are completely dry before reinstallation. Replace filters if they are damaged or cannot be cleaned effectively.
- Reinsert the clean/new filters and close the access panel, ensuring latches are securely fastened.

5.2 Pembersihan Am
