This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your XCell BC-X4000 Fast Charger.   • Use the charger only for the specified battery types: 1.2V Ni-MH/Ni-Cd and 3.7V Li-Ion. Charging other battery types may cause explosion, rupture, or leakage, leading to personal injury or property damage.

6. Arahan Operasi

6.1. Memasukkan Bateri

Carefully insert one to four rechargeable batteries into the charging slots, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). The charger will automatically detect the battery type (Ni-MH/Ni-Cd or Li-Ion) and display initial information on the LCD.

6.2. Selecting Charging Current

After inserting a battery, the charger will default to a charging current. To change the current:

  1. Tekan ke SEMASA button repeatedly to cycle through available charging currents: 300mA, 500mA, 700mA, 1000mA.
  2. Select a charging current appropriate for your battery's capacity. Higher currents charge faster but may generate more heat. Lower currents are generally safer for smaller capacity batteries and can extend battery life. The maximum charging current is 1500mA, but user-selectable options are 300/500/700/1000mA.
  3. The selected current will be applied to the active slot. Each slot can be set independently.

The LCD display provides real-time information for each charging slot. Press the PAPARAN button to cycle through different information for the currently selected slot, such as:

  • Charge Current (mA): The current rate at which the battery is being charged.

  • Time (h:mm): The elapsed charging time.

6.4. Refresh Function

The refresh function can help to restore older Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries that have developed a "memory effect" or lost capacity. This function typically involves discharging the battery completely before recharging it.

  1. Insert the battery into a slot.
  2. Tekan ke MODE button to select the "Refresh" mode.
  3. The charger will begin the refresh cycle. This process can take several hours depending on the battery's condition.

6.5. Battery Defect Detection

The XCell BC-X4000 features automatic detection of defective batteries. If a battery is inserted and detected as faulty, the charger will display an error message (e.g., "NULL" or "ERR") for that slot and will not initiate charging. Remove and dispose of defective batteries responsibly.
