The LINDY USB 2.0 CAT5/6 4 Port Extender is designed to extend the distance between a USB peripheral device and a host computer by up to 50 meters. This system comprises two main units: a local unit (Transmitter) that connects to the computer and a remote unit (Receiver) that connects to up to four USB devices. The connection between these two units is established using a standard, low-cost CAT5/5e/6 network cable (not included).

A key feature of this extender is Power over CAT5/6 (PoC), which means only the Transmitter/Local unit requires a power supply. This allows the Receiver/Remote unit and its connected devices to be positioned more flexibly without needing a separate power source. Both the Transmitter and Receiver units include integrated mounting brackets for convenient installation.

4. Arahan Persediaan

Follow these steps to set up your LINDY USB 2.0 4 Port CAT.5/6 Extender:

1. Sambungkan Unit Pemancar: Connect the USB 2.0 Type A/B cable from your computer's USB port to the USB Type B port on the LINDY Transmitter unit.

Using different cable types or introducing wall plates, couplers, or patch panels may reduce the possible distance.
4. Connect USB Devices to the Receiver Unit: Connect your USB peripheral devices (e.g., keyboard, mouse, printer, webcam) to the four USB Type A ports on the Receiver unit.

Memasang Unit

Both the Transmitter and Receiver units feature integrated mounting brackets. These can be used to secure the units to a surface, such as a wall or desk, using appropriate screws (not included) for a more permanent and tidy installation.

5. Operasi

The LINDY USB 2.0 4 Port CAT.5/6 Extender is designed for Plug & Play operation. Once all connections are made as described in the Setup section, your computer should automatically detect the connected USB devices.
