1. Arahan Keselamatan

3. Persediaan

3.1 Loading Staples or Nails

Always ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before loading fasteners.

1. Press the magazine release latch located at the bottom rear of the tool.
2. Pull out the magazine pusher rod until it locks in the open position.
3. Insert a strip of staples or nails into the magazine channel. Ensure the fasteners are oriented correctly with the points facing forward.
4. Push the magazine pusher rod back into the magazine until it clicks into place, securing the fasteners.

The magazine can hold up to 100 staples or 80 nails.

3.2 Sambungan Kuasa

Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet (230V, 50Hz). Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting.

4. Arahan Operasi

4.1 Adjusting Impact Force / Speed

The FERM ETM1004 features a variable speed/impact force adjustment. Rotate the orange adjustment knob (Figure 3) at the rear of the tool to increase or decrease the impact force. Turn clockwise for higher impact (harder materials) and counter-clockwise for lower impact (softer materials).

4.2 Prosedur Pengikat

1. Ensure the tool is loaded with the correct fasteners and connected to power.
2. Set the power switch to the "ON" position.
3. Place the nose piece firmly against the workpiece where the fastener is to be driven. The contact safety mechanism requires pressure to allow firing.
4. Press the trigger to drive a staple or nail.
5. Release the trigger after each fastener.

The tool can operate at a speed of up to 20 fasteners per minute, allowing for efficient work.

• Periodically clean the magazine channel to remove any dust or debris that could impede fastener feeding.

5.2 Penyimpanan

• Simpan alat tersebut di tempat yang kering dan selamat, jauh daripada kanak-kanak.
• Ensure the magazine is empty before storing to prevent accidental discharge.
• Lindungi kord kuasa daripada kerosakan semasa penyimpanan.

6. Penyelesaian masalah

If you encounter issues with your FERM ETM1004, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

6.1 Clearing a Fastener Jam

If a fastener becomes jammed:

1. Disconnect from power: Immediately unplug the tool from the electrical outlet.
2. Empty magazine: Keluarkan semua pengikat dari majalah.
3. Access jam: Carefully inspect the nose piece and magazine channel for the jammed fastener. Use pliers or tweezers to gently remove it. Do not force it.
4. Reassemble and test: Once cleared, reload fasteners and reconnect power. Test on a scrap piece of material.
