It is compatible with a wide range of fluorescent lamps and AC ballasts.

5.2. Emergency Operation

Upon interruption of normal AC power, the BAL700 automatically switches to emergency mode. The internal solid-state transfer switch activates, powering one fluorescent lamp from the internal NiCd battery for a minimum of 90 minutes. When AC power is restored, the unit automatically returns to normal operation and begins recharging the battery.

5.3. Testing the Unit

Regular testing is required to ensure proper emergency function and compliance with safety codes.

1. Ujian Bulanan: Press and hold the push-to-test switch for at least 30 seconds. The emergency lamp should illuminate. Release the switch; the lamp should extinguish (if AC power is present).
