4.1 Lokasi Pemasangan
- Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside each bedroom, and outside sleeping areas.
- Mount on the ceiling or high on a wall (at least 4 inches from the ceiling).
- Avoid installing near windows, doors, or forced-air vents where drafts could interfere with smoke detection.
- Keep away from cooking appliances, fireplaces, and high-humidity areas like bathrooms.
4.2 Arahan Pendawaian

- Black wire to the hot (live) wire.
- White wire to the neutral wire.

5. Arahan Operasi
5.1 Operasi Biasa
Once installed and powered, the red LED indicator will flash approximately every 30-40 seconds, indicating that the alarm is functioning correctly and monitoring for smoke.
5.2 Menguji Penggera
Test the smoke alarm weekly to ensure its proper operation:
- Press and hold the 'PUSH AND HOLD TO TEST WEEKLY' button (refer to Figure 1).

5.3 Hush Feature

- The alarm will enter a temporary silence mode. The red LED will flash every 30-40 seconds, indicating it is in Hush mode.
- After approximately seven minutes, the alarm will automatically reset to normal operation. If smoke is still present, the alarm will sound again.
- If smoke is too dense, the Hush feature will be overridden, and the alarm will continue to sound.
6. Penyelenggaraan
Regular maintenance ensures the continued reliability of your smoke alarm.
6.1 Penggantian Bateri
The 9V battery should be replaced annually, or immediately when the alarm emits a low battery chirp (a brief chirp every 30-40 seconds).
- Turn off the AC power to the alarm at the circuit breaker.
- Twist the alarm counter-clockwise to remove it from the mounting bracket.
