2. Persediaan
2.1 Membongkar
Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Retain all packing materials for potential future transport or storage. Verify that all accessories listed in the packing list are present.
2.2 Sambungan Kuasa

3. Operasi

3.2 Stitch Selection and Tension Adjustment
The machine offers various stitch types, including 3-thread overlock, 4-thread safety stitch, and 5-thread cover stitch. Select the desired stitch using the appropriate dials and levers. The Elna 745 features Ketegangan Auto, which automatically adjusts thread tension for selected stitches. Fine-tuning may be required based on fabric type and thread.
3.3 Differential Feed
The differential feed mechanism allows for precise control over fabric feeding, preventing stretching or puckering. Adjust the differential feed dial (DF) according to your fabric type and desired effect. A setting of 'N' (Normal) is suitable for most fabrics.
3.4 Stitch Length and Width
Adjust the stitch length and width using the dedicated dials. Refer to the stitch chart for recommended settings for different fabric types and stitch applications.
3.5 Jahitan

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal machine performance. Use a small brush and lint-free cloth to remove lint and thread scraps from the looper area, feed dogs, and tension discs. The machine may include a scrap chute to collect fabric trimmings; empty this regularly.
4.2 Pelinciran
Refer to the lubrication points indicated in the machine's internal diagrams. Apply a small amount of high-quality sewing machine oil to these points as recommended in the full service manual.
4.3 Penggantian Jarum
Replace needles regularly, especially when working with new projects or if you notice skipped stitches or fabric damage. Always use the correct type and size of needle for your fabric.
