1. Pengenalan

The Extech DO600 Waterproof ExStik II Dissolved Oxygen Meter is designed for precise measurement of dissolved oxygen levels. 3. Meter Components

1. Paparan LCD: Shows dissolved oxygen readings, temperature, and other indicators.
2. MODE/HOLD Button: Toggles between measurement modes and holds the current reading.
3. CAL/RECALL Button: Initiates calibration and recalls stored data.

4. Persediaan

4.1. Pemasangan Bateri

The DO600 meter uses four 3V CR-2032 batteries. These are typically pre-installed. If replacement is necessary:

3. Insert new CR-2032 batteries with the correct polarity.
4. Securely replace the battery compartment cap to maintain the waterproof seal.

4.2. Electrode Preparation

Before first use or after prolonged storage, the DO electrode requires preparation:

1. Unscrew the protective sensor cap from the electrode.
2. Fill the spare membrane cap with the provided electrolyte solution. Ensure no air bubbles are trapped.
3. Carefully screw the membrane cap onto the electrode, ensuring the membrane is taut and free of wrinkles.
4. Allow the electrode to stabilize for approximately 15-30 minutes in the electrolyte solution before calibration.

5.2. Penentukuran

Regular calibration ensures accurate readings. Calibrate the meter in air-saturated water or a known standard solution.

2. Immerse the electrode in air-saturated water (e.g., tap water stirred vigorously for several minutes) or a DO standard solution.

6. To hold a reading, briefly press the MODE / HOLD button. Press again to release.

5.4. Altitude Compensation

Dissolved oxygen saturation levels are affected by altitude. The DO600 allows for manual adjustment:

• Refer to the meter's full instruction manual for specific steps to enter and adjust altitude compensation (0 to 20,000 feet in 1,000 ft. increments).

5.5. Salinity Compensation

Salinity also influences dissolved oxygen levels. The DO600 provides adjustable salinity compensation:

• Consult the meter's comprehensive manual for detailed instructions on setting salinity compensation (0 to 50 ppt).

6.1. Electrode Cleaning and Storage

To maintain electrode performance:
