The HKJ-K100 kit is available in different configurations:

  • Option A: HKJ-K100 (Semiconductor Refrigeration Unit only)
  • Option B: HKJ-K100 + Power Supply (Semiconductor Refrigeration Unit and compatible power supply)

4. Arahan Persediaan

The HKJ-K100 unit is pre-assembled. If you purchased Option B or C, the power supply and/or thermostat are included. For Option A, you will need to source a compatible 12V, 12A (or higher amperage) power supply and optionally a thermostat.

4.2 Pemasangan

The HKJ-K100 uses a magnetic fastener for mounting. Position the cooling unit in your desired application (e.g., inside a small refrigerator, incubator, or pet enclosure). Ensure adequate ventilation for the hot side of the unit to dissipate heat effectively. The cold side should be directed towards the area you wish to cool.

5. Operasi

  1. Once the unit is securely installed and wired, plug the power supply into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. The cooling unit will immediately begin to operate. The cold side will start to cool, and the hot side will dissipate heat.
  3. If using a thermostat (Option C), set your desired temperature. The thermostat will automatically turn the cooling unit on and off to maintain the set temperature, optimizing energy consumption.

5.1 Performance Notes

In tests, the HKJ-K100 unit achieved a lowest temperature of approximately -6°C within a 10-liter thick foam box at an ambient room temperature of 25°C. The cold side of the unit can reach very low temperatures, as demonstrated by a surface temperature of -36.2°C after one minute of operation with a refrigeration chip test.

6. Penyelenggaraan

  • Pembersihan: Periodically clean the heat sinks and fans on both the hot and cold sides to ensure optimal airflow and cooling efficiency. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris.

  • Frost Management: If excessive frost builds up on the cold side, it may reduce cooling efficiency. Defrost the unit by temporarily turning it off.
