4. Panduan Pemasangan

Before starting, ensure your system is powered off and unplugged. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific details on CPU and cooler installation if needed.

4.1 Persediaan Am

  • Carefully unbox all components and verify against the package contents list.
  • Remove any existing CPU cooler and clean the CPU surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old thermal paste.
  • Remove the protective film from the cooler's base before applying thermal paste.

4.2 Platform-Specific Installation

4.2.1 Intel LGA1700/1200/115X Installation

  1. Adjust the Intel backplate according to your CPU socket (LGA1700 or LGA115X/1200). The video demonstrates adjusting the backplate pins.
  2. Install the backplate on the rear of the motherboard, aligning the holes.
  3. From the front of the motherboard, install the appropriate standoffs (marked "1700" or "115X" in the video) onto the backplate screws.
  4. Apply a small amount of thermal paste to the center of your CPU.
  5. Place the Intel mounting bracket over the standoffs and secure it with the provided screws.

4.2.2 AMD AM4/AM5 Installation

Nota: For AMD platforms, the original AMD motherboard backplate is required and is not provided in the cooler's accessories package.

  1. Ensure the original AMD backplate is installed on your motherboard.
  2. Install the AMD standoffs (orange in the video) onto the motherboard's CPU cooler mounting holes.
  3. Apply a small amount of thermal paste to the center of your CPU.
  4. Place the AMD mounting bracket over the standoffs and secure it with the provided screws.

4.3 Fan Installation and Wiring

  1. Attach the fan to the heatsink using the provided fan clips. Ensure the fan is oriented correctly for optimal airflow (typically blowing towards the rear exhaust fan of your case).
  2. Connect the 4-pin PWM fan power cable to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.
  3. For ARGB models, connect the 3-pin ARGB cable to a compatible 5V ARGB header on your motherboard. If your motherboard does not have a 5V ARGB header, the fan will operate without RGB lighting.

5. Operasi

Once installed, the DEEPCOOL AG400 cooler will automatically regulate its fan speed based on CPU temperature via the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal from your motherboard. This ensures efficient cooling while minimizing noise.

5.1 ARGB Lighting Control (ARGB Models Only)

For models with Addressable RGB (ARGB) lighting, the lighting effects can be controlled through your motherboard's RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync, Razer Chroma). Ensure the ARGB cable is correctly connected to a 5V ARGB header on your motherboard.
