5. Arahan Operasi
5.1. Wiring Standards (T568A and T568B)
Before crimping, it is crucial to understand the T568A and T568B wiring standards for Ethernet cables. These standards define the order of the colored wires within the RJ-45 connector.
- Straight-through cable: To create a straight-through cable, use either T568A on both ends or T568B on both ends of the cable.
- Cross-over cable: To create a cross-over cable, use T568A on one end and T568B on the other end of the cable.

Figure 5: T568A and T568B wiring standards.
5.2. Connector Making Process (for CAT.7)
Follow these steps to properly terminate a CAT.7 modular plug using the CP-335N tool:
- Jalur: Use the stripper function of the tool to carefully strip the outer jacket of the cable.
- Remove Outer Cable: After stripping, remove the outer cable jacket to expose the twisted pairs. (You may need another tool for this step if the jacket is thick).
- Clear Wire Sequence: Untwist the wire pairs and arrange them according to the desired wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Ensure the wires are straight and parallel.
- Cut Wire into Alignment: Use the cutting blade to trim the wires to the appropriate length (approximately 20mm from the jacket edge) so they are aligned and ready for insertion into the connector.

Figure 6: Connector Making Process for CAT.7 - Steps 1-4.
- Sisipkan: Carefully insert the aligned wires into the modular plug connector, ensuring each wire slides into its correct channel. Push firmly until the cable jacket is seated inside the connector.
- Melaraskan: Set the regulating screw on the crimping tool to the CAT.7 position and release the handle lock.
- Kelim: Place the connector with the stripped cable into the appropriate crimping slot (8P for RJ-45, 6P for RJ11/RJ12). Squeeze the handles firmly and completely to crimp the pins onto the wires.
- Crimp Metal Clip (for shielded CAT.7): If using a shielded CAT.7 connector, ensure the ground wire is positioned correctly in the metal clip area. Close both ends of the metal clip first, then crimp.
- lengkap: Once crimped, release the handles. The connector should be securely attached to the cable.
- Ujian: Use a cable tester (not included) to verify the continuity and correct wiring of the newly terminated cable.

6. Penyelenggaraan
Proper maintenance will extend the life and performance of your Proskit CP-335N crimping tool:
- Pembersihan: After each use, wipe the tool clean with a dry cloth to remove any dust, wire fragments, or debris.
- Pelinciran: Periodically apply a light oil to the pivot points and moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
- Penggantian Bilah: The cutting and stripping blades are sharp but can dull over time. Replace them as needed using the spare blades provided. Refer to Figure 1 for blade details.
- Storan: Engage the handle lock for safe and compact storage. Store the tool in a dry environment to prevent rust.

7. Penyelesaian masalah
If you encounter issues while using the CP-335N tool, consider the following:
- Poor Crimp Quality:
- Ensure the regulating screw is set correctly for the cable type (CAT.5/6 or CAT.7).
- Verify that the wires are fully inserted into the connector and seated properly before crimping.
- Apply sufficient force during crimping; the parallel action should ensure a complete crimp.
- Check if the crimping jaws are clean and free from debris.
- Damaged Wires During Stripping/Cutting:
- Ensure the cable is properly positioned in the stripping slot.
- The blades might be dull; consider replacing them with the spare blades.
- Adjust the pressure applied during stripping.
- Tool Jams or Sticks:
- Clean the tool thoroughly and apply a light lubricant to moving parts.
- Check for any foreign objects obstructing the mechanism.
