1. Arahan Keselamatan

Please read all instructions carefully before using the KOIOS EM621 Espresso Machine. Retain this manual for future reference.

1.1 Keselamatan Am

• Jangan rendam perkakas, kord kuasa, atau palamkan ke dalam air atau cecair lain.
• Perkakas ini adalah untuk kegunaan isi rumah sahaja. Jangan gunakan di luar rumah.
• Jauhkan perkakas daripada kanak-kanak.
• Always ensure the water tank is filled before operation to prevent damage to the pump.
• Gunakan hanya air sejuk dan tawar di dalam tangki air.
• Exercise caution when handling hot surfaces and steam. The steam wand can become very hot.
• Jangan kendalikan perkakas jika kord kuasa atau palam rosak.
• Pastikan perkakas diletakkan pada permukaan yang stabil, rata dan tahan panas.

1.2 Keselamatan Elektrik

• Connect the appliance to a grounded electrical outlet with the correct voltage (120V).
• Cabut plag perkakas dari outlet ketika tidak digunakan dan sebelum membersihkan.
• Jangan biarkan kord kuasa tergantung di tepi meja atau kaunter, atau menyentuh permukaan panas.
• If overheating occurs, unplug the power cord immediately and allow the machine to cool.

2.1 Komponen

• Tangki Air: 58oz (1700ml) removable tank with a transparent design and carrying handle.
• Panel Kawalan: Features power button, 1-cup, 2-cup, and Americano buttons, and a pressure gauge.

3. Persediaan

3.1 Pembersihan Awal

1. Keluarkan semua bahan pembungkusan.
2. Wash the water tank, portafilter, filters, measuring spoon, and drip tray with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Lap bahagian luar mesin dengan iklanamp kain.

3.2 Mengisi Tangki Air

1. Remove the water tank from the back of the machine using its handle.
2. Isi tangki dengan air segar dan sejuk sehingga garis MAX.
3. Letakkan tangki air kembali ke mesin, pastikan ia terpasang dengan selamat.

3.3 Menyusun Mesin

Before first use, or if the machine has not been used for a long time, prime the system:

1. Pastikan tangki air diisi.
2. Letakkan cawan di bawah muncung penapis porta (tanpa kopi).
3. Turn the function knob to the "Coffee" mode limit.
4. Press the 1-cup button. Water will flow through the portafilter. Let it run for about 30 seconds.
5. Turn the function knob to the "Hot Water" mode. Let water flow from the steam wand for about 30 seconds.
6. Turn the function knob back to the neutral position. The machine is now primed.

4. Arahan Operasi

4.1 Membuat Espresso

1. Panaskan: Turn on the machine. Ensure the function knob is set to "Coffee". Wait for the indicator light to turn solid, indicating the machine is preheated.
2. Sediakan Kopi: Grind fresh coffee beans to a fine espresso grind. Fill the appropriate filter basket (1-cup or 2-cup) with ground coffee.
3. Tamp: Gunakan tamper to press the coffee grounds firmly and evenly into the filter basket. Ensure the surface is level.
4. Lampirkan Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the group head and twist it firmly to the right until it is securely locked.
5. Piala Tempat: Letakkan cawan espresso anda di atas dulang titisan betul-betul di bawah muncung penapis porta.
6. brew: Press the 1-cup or 2-cup button. The machine will begin brewing. The PID control system ensures optimal water temperature for extraction, and the pre-soak system moistens the grounds for uniform extraction.
7. Berhenti: The machine will automatically stop brewing when the programmed volume is reached. You can manually stop brewing at any time by pressing the button again.
8. Buang Penapis Portabel: Carefully remove the portafilter by twisting it to the left. Dispose of the used coffee grounds.

4.2 Susu Berbuih

1. Sediakan Susu: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (whole milk is recommended for best results).
2. Aktifkan Steam: Turn the function knob to the "Steam" mode. Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate, indicating the machine is ready to produce steam.
3. Purge Wand: Briefly open the steam valve to release any condensed water from the wand. Close the valve.
4. Susu Buih: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve slowly. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
5. Berhenti mengukus: Once the desired texture and temperature are achieved, close the steam valve and remove the pitcher.
6. Tongkat Bersih: Segera lap tongkat wap dengan iklanamp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Briefly open the steam valve again to clear any milk from inside the wand.

4.3 Fungsi Air Panas

To dispense hot water for warming cups or other uses:

1. Pastikan mesin dihidupkan dan telah dipanaskan terlebih dahulu.
2. Letakkan cawan di bawah tongkat wap.
3. Turn the function knob to the "Hot Water" mode. Hot water will dispense from the steam wand.
4. Turn the knob back to the neutral position to stop the flow.

5. Penyelenggaraan

5.1 Pembersihan Harian

• Penapis Porta dan Penapis: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under running water.
• Dulang Drip: Empty and clean the removable drip tray daily or when the red indicator knob appears.
• Tongkat Stim: Always wipe the steam wand immediately after frothing milk. Purge the wand to clear any internal residue.
• Luaran: Lap bahagian luar mesin dengan lembut, damp kain. Jangan gunakan pembersih yang kasar.

5.2 Pembersihan Tangki Air

Bersihkan tangki air setiap minggu dengan air sabun suam. Bilas dengan teliti untuk mengeluarkan sebarang sisa sabun.

5.3 Penyahkelasan

Regular descaling is essential to maintain machine performance and extend its lifespan. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage.

1. Sediakan larutan penyahkerak mengikut arahan pengeluar penyahkerak.
2. Isikan tangki air dengan larutan penyahkerak.
3. Remove the portafilter handle. Place a large water bowl under the coffee spout and another under the steam wand.
4. Press the 1-cup and 2-cup buttons simultaneously. The machine will begin the descaling cycle.
5. Allow the machine to complete the cycle, or continue cleaning until the water tank is empty.
6. After descaling, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
7. Run several cycles of fresh water through the coffee spout and steam wand to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
