2. Persediaan dan Pemasangan
Your Mountfield MTF 84M riding mower requires some assembly before its first use. Follow these steps carefully.
2.1. Membongkar
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present. Keep packaging materials until assembly is complete.
2.2. Steering Wheel Assembly
- Mount the steering wheel onto the shaft protruding from the dashboard.
- Secure the steering wheel using the provided pin.
2.3. Sambungan Bateri
Important: Connect the battery before initial use for electric starting.
- Locate the battery compartment, typically under the seat or hood.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal (red cable) and then the negative (-) terminal (black cable) to the battery posts.

2.4. Pemasangan Tempat Duduk
- Adjust the seat by sliding it along the slots to your desired position.
- Once the correct position is found, tighten the four screws to secure the seat.
2.5. Grass Collector Assembly
Important: The grass collector must be correctly installed for the mower to operate due to a safety interlock switch.
- Assemble the grass collector components as per the diagrams in the printed manual.
- Attach the assembled collector to the rear of the mower, ensuring it is securely latched.
2.6. Initial Fluid Checks
- Tangki Bahan Api: Fill with unleaded gasoline (essence sans plomb). Refer to the fuel tank cap for recommended fuel type.
- Takungan Minyak: Check the engine oil level and fill with recommended SAE30 oil if necessary.

3. Arahan Operasi
Familiarize yourself with the controls and operating procedures before starting the mower.
3.1. Kawalan Ke Atasview
- Kunci Pencucuhan: Menghidupkan dan memberhentikan enjin.
- Tuas Tercekik: Digunakan untuk menghidupkan enjin sejuk.
- Tuas Penglibatan Bilah: Menyangkut dan melepaskan bilah pemotong.
- Transmission Lever: Selects forward (5 speeds) or reverse (1 speed) gears.
- Tuas Pelarasan Ketinggian Pemotongan: Adjusts the cutting height (7 positions from 25-80 mm).

3.2. Menghidupkan Enjin
- Pastikan mesin pemotong berada pada permukaan rata dan brek letak kereta dihidupkan.
- Letakkan penghantaran dalam keadaan neutral.
- Engage the choke (for cold starts).
- Masukkan kunci pencucuhan dan putarkannya ke kedudukan 'ON'.

- Turn the ignition key to the 'START' position until the engine starts. Release the key once the engine is running.

3.3. Mowing
The MTF 84M features an 84 cm cutting width and a 200-liter grass collector, suitable for areas up to 3,000 m².

3.4. Menghentikan Enjin
