2. Measuring for Installation

Your Yoolax shades come with either a Zigbee or Bluetooth motor, offering various smart home integration options.

• Zigbee Motor: Can be directly connected to compatible Alexa devices without a smart bridge. Compatible models include Echo Plus 2nd Gen, Echo Show 2nd Gen, Echo Studio, Echo Show 10, Echo 4th Gen, Echo Show 8 3rd Gen, and Echo Hub.
• Bluetooth Motor: Directly works with the Yoolax Home App without a smart bridge. For integration with Alexa or Google Home, a separate smart bridge (Bluetooth Hub) is required.

3. Voice Control (Alexa/Google Home)

Integrate your shades with voice assistants for hands-free operation.

• Zigbee Motors: Directly connect to compatible Alexa devices.
• Bluetooth Motors: Require a smart bridge (Bluetooth Hub) for Alexa or Google Home integration.

Common voice commands include: "Alexa, open blind A" or "Alexa, close blind A to 30%" (replace "blind A" with your device's name).

4. Antenna Wires

Regularly check that the motor's antenna wires are not obstructed or entangled with the roller mechanism. Proper placement prevents damage and ensures reliable smart functionality.

4. Shade Closes Crooked or Shifts Sideways

• This can occur if the bottom bar of the shade shifts along the guide wires. To prevent this, consider securing the bottom bar. One method is to drill a small hole in the bottom of the bar (where it won't be visible) through the shade fabric and insert a screw to lock it in place.

5. Hardware Rusting

• While designed for outdoor use, some metal components may show signs of corrosion over time, especially in harsh or humid environments. Regular inspection and application of rust-resistant paint or protective coatings can help prolong the lifespan of these parts.
