1. Pengenalan

The AA GKM24W Internal UV Sterilizer with Power Head is designed to maintain crystal clear water in aquariums up to 120 gallons. This system utilizes a sealed UV lamp that allows water to flow in direct contact with the UV light, enhancing its efficiency in reducing free-floating algae and harmful microorganisms. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your UV sterilizer.

• Penggunaan Dalaman Sahaja: This product is intended for indoor aquarium use only. Do not use outdoors or in any environment other than an aquarium.
• Amaran Mercury: UV lamp contains mercury. Handle with care. In case of lamp breakage, avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Dispose of the lamp in accordance with all state and local disposal laws and regulations.

4. Persediaan dan Pemasangan

Installation of the GKM24W is designed to be quick and tool-free, typically taking around 5 minutes.

5. Arahan Operasi

Once installed and plugged in, the GKM24W will begin operating. The internal power head circulates aquarium water directly past the UV lamp, sterilizing it.

• Operasi Awal: Allow the unit to run continuously until the desired water clarity is achieved. This may take several days depending on the severity of the water condition.
• Optimizing Lamp kehidupan: Once your aquarium water is consistently clear, it is not necessary to operate the GKM24W 24/7. Running the unit for several hours a day (e.g., 8-12 hours) can help extend the life of the UV lamp while maintaining water clarity.
• Penunjuk LED: The control box features an LED light. A green light indicates normal operation. If the LED light is off, it may signal that the UV bulb needs replacement.

• Pembersihan: Periodically clean the exterior of the unit and the power head intake to prevent debris buildup, which can reduce water flow and efficiency. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

7. Penyelesaian masalah

If you encounter issues with your GKM24W, refer to the following common solutions:

• Unit Not Turning On / No LED Light:

  • Check the age of the UV bulb. If it has been in use for 6-9 months or longer, its effectiveness may have diminished, and it should be replaced.
  • Ensure the aquarium size does not exceed the recommended 120-gallon capacity for this model.
